It broke several inches from the bottom of the rod segment, so not up at the tip if that's what you're thinking. Pretty much the worst place.
No, the warranty is limited on Encounters. For current models it applies I believe to rod tips only, but not at all to pre-2021.
I broke my Encounter rod tip. Called Orvis and they said that because my rod is pre-2021 model even their limited warranty for the Encounter no longer applies.
I'd hate to throw away a rod just because I don't have a tip. Realize this may be a long shot, but does anyone have an old tip lying...
