I used to fish Outbound fly lines all of which developed fine cracks at the business end after a year or two. I suffered cuts like yours when the cracks showed up and since giving up on those lines,no cuts. I would also not fish textured lines for the same reason.

I don’t find as many infested fish near those freshwater sources so I’m thinking they shed parasites pretty quickly but I can’t swear to it.

I’ve been finding a lot of healthy fish in the 14 to 17” range at area 10 beaches lately. They seem to be well fed and feisty.

I've been streaming this station from Fort Bragg Ca. for some years. The programming is great and advertising is just local businesses. They have some great feature shows such as "Underground Garage" with Little Steven Van Zant.
