Weighted Wire for salmon flies

I've started tying a bunch of flies for the upcoming salmon freshwater season. At the moment I have a decent variety of beads ranging from 3-5mm, in nickel, brass, and plastic. I realize every run is different and then the only way to figure out what I need is to fish my flies more, but Is varying bead size and amount of material used tied sufficient for getting an assortment of weights? Or would it be worthwhile to pick up some weighted wire, and use it on some of my flies?

Don't really know anything about the regs in PNW, but in the Northeast and Maritime Canada there are several waters where weighted flies are not allowed.

I usually tie all my flies non-weighted and pick the tip with the sink rate I think is best for each run. Beats having to tie a bunch of the same pattern with 3 or 4 different bead sizes and at the end of the season you'll have gone through far less of tippet material and the flies you worked so hard to tie
