Wow, this is great. More than helpful - thanks. I'll try this game plan and let the guides know I'm on standby. In December most of the fishing will be on the Bogachiel hatchery fish. Relatively easy drift there, but I've seen boats swamped on it.
That and the Quilleyute will provide your most productive angling in December, so you will be able to meet folks, gather data about other runs, and perhaps follow someone who knows the area well down a few of the other rivers towards the end of the month.
Getting a guide for a day or two on the other rivers would be helpful, tell whoever you go with what you're after regarding the trip.
Just learning the way through a couple of the drops will be worth it for you.
After high water events there can be blockages on any of the rivers, lots if trees out there, so keep abreast of the latest conditions through the grapevine out there, or the various social media sites.
That's a slick rig. I'll give this one a look as well. ThanksI had the Gigbob (RIP after 20 years) and loved it. The problem with the "sale boat" no anchor setup. The one had (2005) had an anchor set up but NRS' vendor that made the anchor plate is out of business. I bought the Outcast Clearwater (frameless). A bit longer than the Gigbob (dumb name) at 9.5'. Robust oars come with it and a plate to attach a Scotty Anchor bracket. There are also mounting plates to attach the Outcast optional gear bags. I bought it to replace the Gigbob to float the OP and North Stilly, Sky, etc. Outcast has a clever way of attaching rods in transport. See the vids. I haven't had it out yet but I have owned lots of inflatables. It will hunt.
