In @Kashf 's thread we were sharing why we love fly fishing. I'm just tickled when I can identify a bug, learn about it, tie some stuff up, and go out and fool a fish. Today I fished this trio of flies based upon my observations. A foam october caddis daddy on a dropper 40" above a october caddis flavor bird of prey I've liked for a couple years now, on a dropper, and an october caddis colored muddler 24" behind that.
Up top dead drifted, swung/skated, or just as an indicator
This is about the 4th time I've fooled this one this year, each time on a different fly.
the bird of prey has been a good deep nymph
Trimmed back the collar and head from yesterday to fish it deeper, it's got 8 turn of wire.
