Well I won this Chinese blank on EBay a 8ft 6wt came with 2 tips had a hard time picking a straight tip out of the two. My fishing buddy told to heat one up over the stove heat it work.
Thanks Mike will try that on the other tipBefore you use heat Lue grab the ferrule end of the tip section and buggy whip it back and forth to see if you can flex the set out. Many times, this is all you need to do for a minor set. You can even lawn cast it to see if that will help first.
If necessary to add heat, try a hair dryer first then bend the set opposite of its direction and hold it for a minute while it cools in the corrected position.
Another method is to lay the section on a piece of wood or cardboard and place pins over correctin the set and let the rod sit for a few days to see it that might do the trick.
