I have been presented with an amazing opportunity to undertake a bucket list trip within the next one to two years. I am looking at a fly fishing trip to Patagonia on the Chile side. I've picked up a couple of books on the area and have been perusing the Yellow Dog site. For anyone who has gone before can you recommend any lodges and any concerns or things I need to consider in my planning.
I think I am leaning towards the March/April time of year but am open to suggestions from people who have been there. The fishing aspect is more important to me than the amenities of a lodge and I have been used to doing diy backcountry hunts in Alaska with my buddy. I will be doing this trip by myself so the lodge aspect appeals to me.
