Purchased a set of 4 leather spliced protectors to protect my sharpes spliced rods when travelling to and from the water. $40 for the set of 4. Bought them from a speypages guy (Nickels, Nick.royer@hotmail.com). Really pleased with his work and wanted to let any of you spliced rod owners know about this. Way quicker to slip these sleeves over the rod ends at the end of the day as opposed to fastening the wood protectors with cord.
