I bought a set of 6’ bamboo culms from a fellow member, he even flamed and split them for me! Thanks Dennis! So PMQ #3 is taking shape. Lots of planing and hacking, but it’s looking pretty good now. Just a little under 7’ one piece (glued scarf joint) probably a 5 wt, swelled butt under the grip and reelseat. Making a square-ish hole in the cork was a minor challenge......looking forward to to casting/fishing this rod.

Nice work Steve, glad you were able to use the culms and build another rod for you collection. If you need more I’m still stocked up and I’m happy to split them for you. I also have a bellinger form if you need to use also as I’m busy building two handers. Tight lines

Thanks Dennis......borrowing forms might be a huge downfall for me right now.......huge project Hotrod truck comes first! (And fishing......)
