Just got back from a fishing trip to Iceland. Thought you might like to see the flies they had at the lodge. Here are some brown trout and char flies. The big black zonkers and purple and silver streamers and gray ghosts are for brown trout. Not wild about the synthetic jungle cock eyes though. The klinkhammers and red and black eyed flies are for char. At the right are some small Black Sheep, Green Highlander and Red Francis salmon flies.
The Red Francis and Black Francis salmon flies are the most popular salmon flies in Iceland. Supposedly a shrimp imitation. Looks like a row of Blue Saphire and Silver Stoats to the right.
And here are some Ally's Shrimp, orange and yellow flamethrower flies tied with artic fox (would be nice for steelhead) and some green Ally's shrimp flies.
