Two of the the top 15 Classic finisher’s today were local boy’s from Spokane. Taylor Smith made his second Classic appearance and finished in 8th today while Joey Nania finished 13th in his first appearance at the Classic. Both guys are great dudes. I don’t know Joey all that well but Taylor is a close personal friend.

If you can catch e’m in the PNW you can catch e’m anywhere as we have seen over the last 15 years from local angler’s doing well on the big stage of professional bass fishing. Congratulations to both anglers!

Love hearing about "locals" doing well.

The classic isn't everything it used to be after most of the great anglers moved to major league fishing but it's still a great accomplishment.
Hell, just making it to the classic takes great skill and a commitment to excellence.

It is a bummer that many of the household names have moved to the other circuit. I think the fans of bass fishing miss Kevin Vandam but his MLF format is fun to watch. However, the Classic will always be the Classic! The event broke the all time attendance record (145K) set in 2018, there were almost 12K in attendance for the final weigh-in and Jason Christie took home a cool $300K for the win. Amongst tournament angler's the Classic is still the Super Bowl of the sport.
