What a change a week makes, waders, jacket, and shucks on this stream.

Was chasing around like a maniac with my net, finally came up with one later.

Shucks galore. Swung this set of three, no need to change. And I only lost one bird of prey. I've been having better luck with the black simiseal than peacock on the birds of prey.

October caddis are having a great showing in my neck of the woods this year. Tons of shucks and very eager trout, and every night I open the side door to let the dogs out I’ve got a couple adults flying circles around my kitchen. Swinging pupa is a great way to get bit, but to me it doesn’t get more enjoyable then actively fishing a dry fly like a streamer. Skating, twitching, stripping and making that fly skitter and hop around as erratic as possible. Great numbers, good size and some spectacular takes lately. It’s been a great start to fall.
