A cold but fun morning

Life of the Party
With the last three days of clouds and massive wind here I was pleased to have blue sky and no wind this morning. Around 9am my wife says, “Looks nice out, why don’t you go fish?” Being one not to argue with my wife, I packed up the gear, layered up and headed out. I hadn’t been to the local P&T lake in a while so I thought I would see if the stockers had grown any. I had the water to myself and only saw a couple hikers the whole morning. Right out of the launch area I picked up a nice cuttie and had one more hookup before I got to one of my favorite spots. After about an hour and only four fish I kicked to the back area where there are a lot of partially submerged trees. This spot came alive around 11:00 and I ended up with over a dozen hookups and nine to the net. My toes and hands were numb around 12:30 so I called it a day. The fish have grown some since my last visit. A few seemed to be recently stocked fish in the 10-12 range, but most were 15-18 and had a lot of fight in them.
