Walked 5 miles today visiting two small kittitas county high lakes with a recently purchased 8' 3/2 Phillipson Peerless bamboo rod.

Caught 7 colorful naturally reproducing brookies in the first lake on a size 14 soldier palmer and a size 14 Greenwells Glory.

There was an even smaller lake nearby. I was skunked here several years ago but saw that the lake had been stocked with cutts and rainbow in 2021 so gave it a visit.

7 slightly larger fish on a size 14 bibio, size 14 greenwells glory and size 12 Butcher and an intermediate line. Most of the fish were up against the bank in the afternoon's lengthening shadows.

Glad for a head net as I was putting up and taking down gear. The mosquitoes have started.

Well done, as usual Dave.

I agree with Ron. That Phillipson is a keeper!
