Like a lot of the other posts, I generally use an 7wt or 8wt for bass. Nearly all of my bass fishing is for smallmouth, and has mostly been in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ontario so the heavier rod is nice when a pike or musky decides to eat my bass fly.

The photo itself is a bit blurry and distant, but definitely the fishing highlight of the year for me - my first PNW steelhead, this March in NE Oregon.

I guess I'll have to keep posting scenery pics since the steelhead haven't been cooperating! I didn't get a decent picture showing it, but there was snow on you of the hills from last night, which makes the area even more beautiful. Southeastern WA
