The Europeans like double hackles for their sea-trout flies too. I dig those little pink hot spots!

I have to admit, I’m envious as hell in regards to some of the sea trout those folks catch over there.

Ribbing - Silver wire

Body - Peacock herl

Hackle - Crimson red tied on as a collar and tied back and down

Wing - Crimson red calf tail tied over the body. The original wing on this fly was red goose quill

A bit binary; could benefit from a G/O shoulder (chukar) in addition to a longer claret one or another body hackle (fiery brown?).

His last fly is pretty much a clone of the Graboid, right????
