What Critter Is This?

This is probably obvious enough to some, but not me. I've been on a local High Lake kick this summer and exploring locations off trail on the I-90 corridor. Something is enjoying a nice cool muck wallow in wet, meadowy open areas, about 4-4.5k' elevation. I didn't see tracks that told me exactly what did this. 120cm trekking poles for scale.

Elk, Bear, Atlantic Salmon, Bobo?

You should have been able to smell the elk piss.
