Here it is post soak in the sink...A little 6" bull trout fly that somehow I managed to squeeze both a big rattle and a little bit of foam to throw off the balance in there.
I also utilized some white and light gray bucktail along with white and light gray snowrunner alternated to give it a little more depth. Topped off with some bloody white titan dub for the head.
Are you hollow tying stations reverse tied on top and bottom? Great profile! Here it is post soak in the sink...
For the head? That one is Nightmare Musky Titan dub. It's pretty long and some natural fiber (not sure which), but moves nicely. I also have used some of the big game dubbing from FTD, which is synthetic. I like the Titan better but it does hold a little bit more water.Just curious as to what dubbing you are using @clarkman
Perfect! Thank you for sharingA Stickleback and a couple of flies called Krae which I believe means "creature".
Anyway, good flies for SRC.

I never thought about dubbing much until I started tying larger fliesFor the head? That one is Nightmare Musky Titan dub. It's pretty long and some natural fiber (not sure which), but moves nicely. Isn’t that the truth.I never thought about dubbing much until I started tying larger flies
Dubbing could be its own science
That’s real niceDemon variation with an orange wing below the red wing. Steelhead definitely prefer the two tone stacked wings.
