Spun craft fur leech, sort of an SBS

Another use for a super versatile material. Craft fur moves like nothing else, doesn't soak up water, and slinks down real nice when tied sparsely to make for great performing leech patterns.

Standard leech body with a tungsten bead. Marabou tail here, but you could use craft fur for the tail as well. Size 6, heavy nymph hook

This is the stuff I use for these leeches, the shorter hairs that get weeded out when tying baitfish patterns.

A dubbing blend sample with brown ice dub

spun up about 2.5x the length of the body, teased out

Wrapped and finished with super glue per my standard

Slinky when wet!

Some payoff, plenty of these around

Steelhead
Olive/white "Barely Legals" with a big tungsten cone.

If I could only fish one streamer and one color, this would be it. Marabou blended with pearl and gold ice dub.
Fished with sinktips or full sinks in larger rivers and lakes, and a full floating line in smaller streams. The jiggy action on every strip and wiggle of the rodtip kicks ass.
