They wanted to see the Hoover Dam…they have been before (as I many times), so we parked on the Arizona side to see a different perspective…the spillway…check out the photo of the record high water in ‘83…the spillway hasn’t seen any water in a long time

North end of Lake Mead is fun fishing for a variety of warm water species. Wish I would have spent more time in Valley of Fire when I was there. Thanks for sharing!

I love VOF. My mom & dad used to go to Vegas all the time. My mom loved playing slots for hours on end, but my dad and I were bored to tears with gamboling, so we would always drive out to the VOF to explore. It's such an incredible place. Did you see "Mouse's tank"? I also used to go on week-long kayak camping trips in Lake Mojave with my brother and some friends. We would often paddle upstream to see Hoover Dam from the water. It's a spectacular thing to see, especially from water level. Here's a photo of my and a buddy in the double kayak. Hoover.jpg
