Hover shrimp. Made some small adjustments based on materials on hand and preference…bye bye hackle, hello schlappen! Could have some very effective action fished on an intermediate or type 3 line.



Edit: adding link to video. Finding these guys on YouTube has been great. Lots of the flies they use are very transferable to PS fishing.

Simple articulated worm with a 15mm shank in front which puts the hook point about in the middle.
3 different colors of rabbits on top with schlappen wraps for legs, no doubt some @jasmillo influences there but hey, schlappen makes it happen!

I don’t get it. When I tie with schlappen, it comes out buggy and greasy like it was shorn from Kurt Cobain’s head. Yours looks fine and silky like it came off Edgar Winters. Different supplier? Preparation? Tying abilities? Definitely some of the latter for sure..
