I remember one March 1st when DK, Engee and I headed up there. The wind (W) was howling out of the north but the lake was ice free except for the white stuff that was blowing horizontally. We sat in the truck and enjoyed a few beverages wondering who would be dumb enough to wader up and go fishing. Telephone Bob (also locally know as Chironomid Bob) was sitting in his truck sipping coffee and probably wondering the same thing. After awhile a car pulls in, a young guy hops out and pulls on his waders in the snow storm, grabs his fly rod, goes through the fence stile and starts fishing AND hooks up. We let him have the water, it was just too cold, the Seeger-Effect™ was in full force that morning.
