Not perfect, but best attempt out of 3 I've done over the last few weeks.
Scud with ostrich herl legs.

And just messing around. But I like it.
Flash tail. Flash body wrap with loose spaced ostrich herl, soft hackle to finish.
Not sure photo shows it, but like how the Flash shimmers through the ostrich in the body

Hook - Single salmon
Thread - Fluorescent pink (I used red. No pink thread)
Body - Fluorescent pink chenille. Chenille should be wrapped in two larger distinctive lumps
Center Hackle - Fluorescent red tied on as a collar and tied back slightly
Hackle - White tied on as a collar and tied back slightly

Hook - Single salmon
Thread - Red
Tail - Red calf tail
Body - Rear two-thirds, embossed silver tinsel; the front third, dubbed with red lamb's wool
Hackle - Badger tied on as a collar and tied back
Wing - Gray squirrel tail tied over the body
Cheeks - Short strand of red yarn tied in at each side and frayed out

Time for tailwater stuff; a Zebra with a mane. Frozen guides, numb legs and fingers, multiple layers and staring at an indicator; nothing like springtime in MT.
