Lying on the couch last night reading when sirens and emergency vehicles pulled up outside the house - an early Santa Claus visit to 200 F Ave, Redondo Beach. Speaking of the beach:

A few from a short trip to Gearheart on the N. OR coast this week. Beautiful weather Wed, cold/rainy Thurs, and nice again on Friday.

Nice day at the beach. My wife and I watched the surfers - it seemed awfully congested and I wondered how often there are collisions out there as we saw a few close passes.

I think I understand the "addiction" to surfing. It's probably something akin to fly fishing for many of us.

Only took a year and a half of permitting hell, but we finally have the green light to make this our backyard. Hopefully before next Fall.
