First attempt at one of these; tying some up in anticipation of hitting stillwaters along the Rocky Mountain front next spring, post ice-out.

tail - marabou brown/olive
body - Arizona Simi Seal crawdad
pin - 17 ga satin pin
bead - 1/8 hot orange

Body - Copper wire over an underbody of brown floss
Wing - White bucktail tied over the body, with an overwing of dyed yellow natural bucktail
Eyes - Tiny red dots

Tail: Three hackle feathers- grizzly, yellow grizzly and chartreuse black laced hen
Collar hen hackle
Body: Chartreuse over orange over yellow deer
Body Hackle: Orange soft hackle and Chartreuse black laced hen, tied back just in front of the collar, folded and pulled forward and tied off after the body is trimmed.
Face: Pink deer

That is awesome. Do you run a bead of glue to secure the hackle to the body or tie it in at the eye?

Inspired by @Matt B sort of a cross riff between his purple bugger and the translucent pattern above. Gonna be on the river for a few days this week and will fish these along with some of the bazillion others I've tied up recently for whatever is around. Just marabou tail, couple strands of flash and small pearl palmered chenille wound thru goose flank hackle.

2nd shoulder - mottled hen back
