Whatever they were eating was dry, as I could clearly hear them munching loudly on it. Sounded like potato chips!
I think it was dried up Bitterroot.

I love the amount of detail in the image… like in the old days pre digital when artists had morgue files of clipped images magazine images to help conger composing their artwork

I just took this pic through the lodge window…this guy walked up the trail and is sitting at the fire pit where I was sitting the other night. We are totally fogged in (I was supposed to fly out to Iliamna an hour ago)…if it stays like this much longer, I’m going to pull my waders out of the bag and string up a rod…

Had to zoom in a bit .at first I thought he was wearing a saddle
