Those look great - what size stingers are those?

Size 1
The No Escape hooks tend to run a bit small in my opinion, so closer to a size 2 in other brands.

Thanks for this pattern! I've been looking for a good but simple crawdad fly and this looks like it.

I secured the bead in place like normal but a bit farther back from the eye, once done building the fly I slid the fish head over the eye and back over the bead which I had dabbed with super glue then did a final thread wrap at front of head behind eye, whip finish and a touch of UV Flow.

We'll see how they fish tomorrow!20230901_111238.jpg

I like it! Is that some kind of chenille or just a nice clean dubbing job?
Thanks - it's a synthetic hackle by hares ear if I recall, it's thin and not to bulky or thick and lays down nicely, I'm now out of the white/pearl so need to find some more if these fish well. Hackle length was about 3/8th and I trimmed off one side to get it to lay down the way I wanted.

@Scudley Do Right A neither nice clean tie from you. I’m curious what you see as the advantages of tying in the dumbbell eyes on the bottom of the shank.
