Nice fly. I have been using those heads for some tuna flies and like them. I can't see a hook so just want to make sure you know you are holding that one upside down - the rounded side of the head has more keel weight.
The hook turned out to be a bit small for how the fly turned out. It's well hidden.

That's good to know. I'll have to keep that in mind for the next one. First time using these heads. This ones upside down then lol

Hammerdown hopper in black sz. 10 1xl. Not sure they are exactly eating as hoppers, enough stones, caddis and other bugs around too. Anyway, dry, film, sunk, stripped, they are getting eaten.20230728_081245.jpg

We're fishing a beach that usually produces regardless of tidal period...usually.
So if I went to that said “secret beach”, would I have any luck with my 10’-12’ surf spinning outfits and some those delectable “GULP” products?

I have been unsuccessful so far at the locations I have been…PM the location of ya wouldn’t mind.

Thanks 😉

I've never done well with gulp baits anywhere....
