That's okay, Fred. Get that trailer hooked up, get your gear ready and have your rods strung. I'll see you before Saturday morning but man, Saturday morning I'm headin' out oh dark thirty.@Buzzy I can bring you some if you'd like.
I haven't tried yet, but I don't see why not. It's not any heavier than the big conehead dolly lammas we were chucking up in AK, or some of the Billy-style tungsten jig flies for that matter! Can you cast it on fly gear?
I'm going to be ready. The trailer is de winterized, water tank and lines sanitized, the float tube and backpack scrutinized. Just have to put my clothes and food in and hit the road. That's okay, Fred. Get that trailer hooked up, get your gear ready and have your rods strung. Actually @Scottp , I think I still have my old basic one. It was working when I put it in the garage (I upgraded to one with bluetooth). PM me your adderess and I can just send it to you. I'm serious....if you're interested.
Those look great
Scott, you are the King of "Muddle".Muddled Clamber Crippler
Took a good bit of leeway with Rob Denson’s version of Arthur Macdonald’s fly. The muddled part was a last minute decision; didn’t leave myself quite enough room for a well-packed head but it should still float.

It’s been a while since I’ve tied up river bugs. This is nothing special, just some basic stuff. I’m having fun with it though after a rather long stint without doing so.
I really like the last one…A few soft hackles for lakes, of a sort that have worked for me in the past.

I've experimented with bleaching materials a bit using these products and gotten these results...May try bleaching the caribou to take some of the grey out for dyeing purposes.
That was one of my dad’s favorite flies for high alpine lakes and meadows in NE Oregon. I’ll have to tie some up for this summer.
