Clarkman, what material is that white pearl strand in the middle?
That's flash n slinky (I used 'shrimp' here because it gives a super subtle pink hue). The titan dub has a little bit of flash in it too. I also added a little bit of flashabou layered in the middle.

Playing around with trying to get a larger profile as the fry I saw this weekend were good size. Also trying to eliminate fouling by tying the squirrel using three shorter sections.
I think I’ll add crystal flash under the front two sections on the next one rather than just longer strands under the front section. That should also help reduce fouling.

Life of the Party
With continued success using floating dragon nymphs, the several walleye on white booby minnows and the scads of winter time trout I have caught on bright colored boobies, it seems like further exploration of floating flies for sinking lines is needed. This is a booby damsel- at least sort of. Untested but it should work.
