Here's one that clears things up a bit. Turns out, the federal authorities do care:

Haven't been out much lately, but did have a good sighting of a male immature Golden Eagle soaring peacefully with an immature female Bald Eagle.
These are assumptions based on the size difference and the bald's honker of a beak!
She is a big beautiful bird and they do seem to get along most of the time I have seen them. The Golden is pretty aggressive towards most of the immature eagles. It does not really mingle much with adult baldies.

This shot gives a good example of the Golden's smaller head and longer tail, where as the Bald has closer to equal length of head and tail (angle not the best-check out the bottom photo)
Helps with far-away sighting ID's and via silhouette. Pretty rare to have the side by side.

Love those guys. They should spoon be looking for spider webs for their nesting material.

A good share of their food is bugs, not always nectar / sugar. But, keep the sugar water out. BTW - no need to waste money on the red colored stuff. They are attracted to the colors on the feeder.
One part sugar, four parts water is sufficient.
