I've used an inflatable camping pillow to boost my rear end for better posture and visibility in my discount tube.

This was not just a frivolous post. I appreciate the stories of being attacked by various insect pests and what to do about it. I personally despise yellow jackets and hornets the most...to the point of near phobia. Takes me off my fishing game immediately...

I like the "sparkle covered with hackle" formula for my flies lately. I think hiding some of the flash works well. I tie my soft hackles with a flashabou body ribbed with soft hackle. Muted, but noticeable at certain angles ....

Has anyone seen this? Dragonfly mounted on a wire with clip. The idea is that it deters all sorts of insect pests...anecdotal evidence yes, scientific evidence, well I have not found any... I would not be foolish enough buy it, but I might tie up a foam dragonfly and mount it to my fishing hat...

SO, I was all ready to hit my local S river on Nov 1. WDFW shut it down again indefinitely. Sigh I guess I could try the other S river that is open
