    Bamboo and wild rainbows.

Wow that's huge for that lake! Mellow hike but that road has seen better days. That lake is all natural reproduction with mainly coastal cutthroat but there's definitely some mixed Westslope/Yellowstone cutthroat genetics. It was stocked in 1970 with Westslopes from Twin Lakes and Yellowstone...

    Greece, Montenegro, Croatia and Venice

Nice write up and photos! They have me excited to return to Greece next month. My wife is from Leonidio so I've been spoiled with a lot of time spent over there in the Peloponnese region. Montenegro looks great and is close, hope to check that region out at some point.

    Lightweight wading boots: your experience

Can’t comment on the Patagonia’s but I’m sure they’re great, I’ll probably get them when I ruin my current pair. I use the Orvis ultralights when I’m putting in miles and they work perfectly fine. Rubber Vibram sole which yeah is slippery but that’s why you put studs in them. Makes all the...

    No more Skagit Steelhead!

Sad how bad things are for the Skagit, Stilly, and Snoho system which are my home waters. I have nothing to add that hasn’t already been discussed before other than more continued disappointment. It’s hard for a newer angler to get excited about our angling opportunities in comparison to how...

    SFR Reapplication of Sunscreen?

There's a lot of science that suggests the modern diet is playing a factor. The skin being composed of layers rich in lipids (fats) and the types of fat you eat can shape the fatty acid composition of your skin. If the skin is loaded with poly unsaturated fats like linoleic acid it becomes more...

    Small creeks

Boulder hopped around for some southern Dolly Varden this AM. Water still kinda high and will be better in a few weeks but I’ve been eyeing this one for a minute and felt like checking it out

    Highway to Headwater

Great write up so far, really enjoying it and I love fishing that system. Hoping you do a little bit of a breakdown of your gear if you have time or things that you would do again or not do. This is perfect timing though, I'm headed out there tonight and staying till Tuesday evening. My buddy is...

    Replacement for Subaru Forester?

Another good option is a Mazda CX-50 hybrid although they also have a gas option. They use a Toyota RAV4 hybrid power train. Mazda has no problem with inventory so you can get a good price well below MSRP if you shop around. The Costco program is a great one if you’re buying new.

    2025 NBA

Don't care too much who wins at this point now that the Nuggets are out. The playoffs have been great overall. I like Edwards a lot and McDaniels is local so I'll go for them. Not a fan of the free throw merchant SGA

    Puget Sound

Went to the darkside this morning and yeah, a lot more to hand but fishing surface patterns is exciting and a good way to start the day to see if they're around. Lots of fry and tiny cutts where I've been fishing. Seen a few big jumpers but none to hand. Went to a size 2 clouser to see if that...
