Greggor
I have lived in the Seattle area all my life.
I became interested in fly fishing at age 11, and learned to tie from Roy Patrick, who was intrigued by my interest at such a young age. He could be grumpy at times, but he did take my friend and I under his wing for a couple of years.
I fished a lot of weekends with my dad, and eventually saw him make the switch from only gear fishing to some fly fishing at times. I made quite a few trips to the dry side with friends and focused on trout fishing in the Okanogan region in my late teens and early 20s.
A happy marriage and raising three children, led to a very long fly fishing hiatus. There were fits and starts trying to engage the kids, but opening day plus three weeks was about it. Golf filled the void.
In 2009 the passion for fly fishing resurfaced, and here I find myself very excited about becoming reacquainted with our sport.
