I'm headed to Tikehau in French Polynesia and Aitutaki in the Cook Islands in February and March. Bonefish, triggers, and GT. Having a lot of fun at the vice right now.

I hope to spend more time up in the Beartooths, especially at the two lakes that have Goldens. Haven’t caught any of those since my time in the eastern Sierras over 40yrs. ago. I also plan to go back into Yellowstone, there are a few hike in lakes I want to get my float tube into that should hold some larger bows and cutties. One at the north end that saw little or no pressure last year due to the road damage and gate closure. I’m hoping those fish will be anxious to slam a fly and take me for a ride.
Jan - June: SRC and continue to learn the lake game for trout, bass and hopefully my first Musky. Also, get out at least a couple times for steelhead (still need to land my first). I also have a spring trip to YNP where I’ll have a little time to fish the Firehole and other rivers that might be in shape.
July: Alaska! I’ll have a full week of fishing in AK targeting rainbows, maybe some salmon or even pike. I cannot wait, my favorite fishing of the year. Plus - hopefully the start of salmon season in PS.
August - October: salmon, salmon, salmon!! Coho, chum, maybe the stray King. I get to reconnect with the Kitsap side beach guys I’ve met over the years. I love this time of year. Bonus: two tuna trips on the books with Mr. Clayton and maybe a short trip (long weekend) to MT to camp and fish. Been a few years since I have done that.
November - December: Belize. My first tropical saltwater fishing trip (outside of messing around in HI with my fly rod). I’ll only have 2-3 days to fish but hope to make the most of it. I’ll be back hitting local lakes and PS for SRC as well.

Ha, for some reason my silvers caught off the beach count goes WAY up in odd years. Go figure…I made one small correction for you.
Ehh, pinks have saved more than one slow coho day for me in the past. I don’t hate them. I could do without the descending hordes though!

I saw this video several years ago. This was an ingenious idea to use a black flip-flop’s sole with black feathers.
Right!? I'm waiting for @clarkman to grab a musky with a yellow flip flop/duck fly.
I fished top water about 5-10% of the time last year....just didn't get after them enough.
Oh yeah! I also have a new foot-controlled bow mount motor that should help the back. Maybe it will equate to more musky in the boat. It's musky, so probably not.

Isla Blanca (Cancun) trip next Tuesday for baby tarpon & snook. The stoke is real! My wife & I are staying in a really nice place in Playa Mujeres tomorrow until the 28th. So I'll also fish from the beach a couple mornings for little jacks and the occasional cuda.

March-May really want to hit the sound more this year. Barely fished it last year despite a couple great days.
I might be able to slip in a couple morning sessions on the beach in Mazatlan in April. I would love to try the world-class bassin up at El Salto or Picachos, but Sinaloa is a little crazy right now so probably do our usual resort thing and go out to our favorite restaurants in town. Looking like the year to avoid going inland or north from town.
May-June local lake planters & bass.
Summer definitely will include another trip to the gorge for shad, bass & carp. And the pursuit of friggin musky. I FINALLY have a foot-controlled bow mount motor so just call me Bass Masters now. Mayfield and Tapps will be the primary targets.
Late summer into fall will have to include some saltwater pink adventures, a couple summer steelhead trips as well as a couple for trout. And musky. Especially if it's 80 friggin degrees in October again.

I'd like to second kerrys sentiment, I need to fish more! Below are my goals for this year. Life is too short and I let work get in the way too much the past six years. I've transferred into another assignment and my weekends are now my own again!
Since I just got back into tying after a long hiatus, I want to work my way through all the ties in Charlie Cravens book, Basic Fly Tying.
Finally try my hand at SRC's and catch one.
Fish Wyoming.
Fish Montana.
Fish Yellowstone National Park.
Finally take a friend from work fly fishing here locally.
Fish the Yakima (which I amazingly have never done before)
Bonus, get away for a weekend to Alaska with my buddy that lives up there

A certain board member who happens to be traveling/fishing right now in the southern hemisphere has me motivated to plan out my 2023 trips. Last year due to some work issues, my local fishing was definitely lagging. This year it looks like there may be a change coming at work that won't be near as impactful on my fishing trips.
From now till early spring, I plan on hitting the Yak more often, for some trout and whitefish, along with some local put at take stocked ponds, at least until the ice melts of the larger lakes. I'd like to get an OP or Skagit trip in as well. Wonder which area will be more crowded?
After ice off, I'll be focusing on CB, OK, and Cheney area lakes, at least through mid June, honing in my bobber skills.
I'd really like to do a mid June northern BC lake/river trip to an area I have been dreaming about for a long time.
I plan on more dry fly trout river fishing during July and August this year. Recently watched too many YouTube videos showcasing dry fly takes and it has been too long a dry spell.
September-Skagit and the Kenai.
October-Skeena.
November-Be nice to do more local salmon fishing...it has been too long since I have got into coho and even some chum. It's really getting harder for me to travel west to fish anymore however.
Interspersed between those trips mentioned above, I hope to do more Yak fishing for trout and maybe even smallmouth. And my usual "Columbia River" trips as well, with maybe a little more exploring some new areas to boot. I'd be happy if I can realistically pull off 3/4 of what I have in mind.
