Are you from the bay or just a fan?
a kid from the Outer Sunset of SF with slivers in my ass from the hard wood benches of Kezar Stadium, watching the likes of Billy Wilson and Hugh McElhenny, and never stopped rooting for them.
For a decade starting in the early 80's my wife was the clinical charge nurse for the 49er team physcians and surgeons practice, so would hear all the latest on their injuries. My fave - wife comes home, 'Dr. Cunningham cut off the tip of Ronnie Lott's finger today because the injury just wouldn't heal. They wanted to do it in an out patient center, Ronnie said, naw, just numb me up and cut it off here in the office, got things to do."
Ronnie, Montana, Dwight Clark, she assisted with every team player that cycled through the practice, on a first name basis with most of them.
The current defense is lights out, and watching Purdy step up with all the weapons around him is hella fun.
And let's hear it for Pete up in Seattle and what he has done with Geno, after trading the Prince away for two firsts and two seconds which they are already cashing in on....proving it was the system, not the Prince, who has set a new standard for flops.

I’m bringing my Dopey Hope out of its premature retirement! So many players did great today! And the cards are on our side for Green Bay losing and us winning next week. It would be fun to go to the playoffs this year even if we are eliminated in first game , considering how our expectations were low going in and for Geno too. I just really like him.

@Brute sorry for the loss! That was a brutal way to end it. Stidham played great.

Our D definitely had some holes in it today, but Purdy continues to be unphased by the big moments. Sure he made some mistakes but at no point did he seem rushed or frantic.

We may have our QB going forward…

He looked good, our D line lived in his face and still slinged rockets. I could be wrong but he didn’t take a sack. Obviously that last pressure by Bosa sealed the deal though.

His only real mistake…but not bad for his first start against the best D in the league..

Heard on TV today Broncos are interested in Jim Harbaugh.
