GO DUCKS ! This Maye kid for NC looks pretty good. But so does Bo. The spread is bulletin board material for them which is scary. After the way the season finished, a win would be very good to have. GO DUCKS !

Now that these players are getting payed do they get to keep their scholarships?

I think it should be one or the other but not both. A scholarship is worth some where around $50 thou or more depending on school. That is per year. tuition, books, room and board, medical and dental, plus tutoring. And it is tax free.,

Do these athletes owe the schools something for the scholarship I really believe that they do. They had a free choice before they signed on, just like anyone else who signed a contract for services to be rendered.

I was a contractor for 30 years, just like these high school kids going to play ball, and when I signed a contract I was responsible to uphold my end of the deal and believe these Primadona's are responsible for honoring there signing.

Your word is your honor and who you are! If you cann't honor your self then you are nothing.

I think a lot of todays athletes should read ‘Boys In The Boat’. And then give thanks for how good they have it, but that is a personal opinion. And my opinion does waiver a bit. But in the long run you’re getting a free college education. At the same time that use to be worth something. Not so much today. Pros and cons.

Wow. I brought out my lucky chair at the half. It worked this time.. By the way, in response to an earlier post, I read Boys in the boat. Great read. Tomorrow its go Dawgs against Texas. You beat the Ducks so you can't lose to some cows.

Not quite what I was expecting. Texas was very well prepared for what UW does on O. Same can be said for UW against Texas O. IMHO UW made better in-game adjustments and the resulting win.

Great UW coaching. Players showed they are capable of various types of play. Looks good for next year too.

Come bowl season, I root for the PAC 12...yes, even Oregon if only because that state at least still has steelhead.

Yeah, nice win for UW, against their former coach and essentially against the home team with a long history of successful college football. UW coaching staff deserves a lot of credit in the turnaround from last year to an 11 win season.

If I'm going to be critical of tonight's game, my opinion is they were looking too much for the long passes...the timing and accuracy were not there. I would have liked to see more running plays and TE targets with more ball control. But then they had been successful all year with the long pass so I can see why they continued to go there even though it was not working.

Last year I thought we would be pretty good but not win it all. Losing to UGA in the championship was disappointing but not completely unexpected. This year I'll go out on a limb and predict another national championship for Bama despite a very tough schedule.

Roll Tide!
Well... obviously not the season Bama fans hoped for, but glad to see the whole team show up and finish to the Alabama standard.

With some quality returning veterans, some crazy talented true freshmen, and this year's #1 recruiting class, feeling pretty good about the next couple seasons.

Good luck to the UGA in the playoffs. SEC represent.

Roll Tide!
