Tail - Red yarn
Ribbing - Oval gold tinsel
Body - Peacock herl
Wing - Deer hair
Collar - Grizzly hen hackle

hook: standard wet fly #12
Rib: gold wire
Tail and Body olive maribou

I’m not sure whether he stole this pattern from someone who could tie or whether he invented it but it’s a lot like Phil. Lots of movement in the water, especially when you hold him under. Fish it on a dry line and long leader with a slow hand twist retrieve. Best damsel nymph pattern I’ve fished.

Thanks Bob. I actually tie it with silver wire or silver tinsel

Not my flies but I had this pic in the camera roll of some flies that Chauncey Lively tied (PA spring creek fisherman… known in the same circles as marinaro, Fox, shenk etc but not quite as popular. Thought somebody may enjoy seeing these classics, could be 30 years old! I’ve had them for at least 15 or so
