Looks like I’ll be in NOLA in jan want to get a day out chasing bull reds. Does anyone have a guide they like? Any advice?

Greg Moon if he is available. You can always stay at Woodland plantation and they have guides available.

I do not recommend fishing with Greg Moon, I've fished with him twice and both times have been terrible.

I have fished with Bailey Short out of Hopedale a couple of times and have enjoyed it. I think the weather makes more of a difference than the captain down there in the winter.

I'm following this. I'm joining my wife for a conference of hers in Feb. I'll probably have 3-4 days.

I agree with Salmo. Captain Patrick. I can’t seem to find his website but look for kayak fishing adventure, or something like that.

If at all possible, do your NOLA redfish trip in the late August to early December window when the big ones come onto the grass flats. It's sight fishing, so weather and light matter.
