Didn't finish watching the game last night, fell asleep at down 11.
Congrats to the dachshund fans on their win.
Lots of offense and it was a pretty enjoyable game for the most part, wrong team won.

Au contraire! The team that played the best game won. Both played some incredible offense against strong defenses. Both teams were getting tired in the fourth quarter, but the Huskies demonstrated more endurance to keep up the high level of play throughout the game, possibly spurred by the Coug's flag planting last year.
To be clear, that game kept me up well past my bed time.

The PAC-12 change may be a good thing. PAC-12 teams keep beating each other up removing them from the payoff picture. May be the PAC-12 will get more respect if a change is made...

They are a competitive team. 7-5. Going to a bowl game. They had Oregon on the ropes. Think should focus on the Arizona schools who have become less competitive. Shaw resigned so Stanford be searching for a new coach.
I don't understand this. Utah played USC and beat them during the season. So why do they play each other again. Utah has the same record as the Husky's do in the PAC12. But they have lost more than Washington overall. W 10-2 U 9-3.

Conference standings are all that matters for the conference championship. Utah, Washington, and Oregon were all 7-2. Oregon beat Utah and lost to Washington but Utah and Washington never played so they couldn't use head to head. The next tiebreakers all had to do with records against common opponents (explanation + math in the link).
It *probably should be* highest CFP rank as tie breaker but ESPN sits on rankings to make a spectacle of it until Tuesday night instead of announcing Sunday. Pac-12 CCG gets played on Friday so there's no time for that team to prepare.

Because the top two teams in the conference play for the championship. Utah won the tie breaker with UW and Oregon.
1. Head-to-head (best cumulative win percentage in games among the tied teams). If not every tied team has played each other, go to step 2
Utah and Washington did not play each other. Move to Step 2.
2. Win percentage against all common conference opponents (must be common among all teams involved in the tie)
Utah, Washington, Oregon common opponents:
Oregon State (Utah W, Oregon L, Washington W)
UCLA (Utah L, Oregon W, Washington L)
WSU (Utah W, Oregon W, Washington W)
Arizona (Utah W, Oregon W, Washington W)
Record against common opponents:
Utah: 5-1. Oregon: 5-1. Washington: 5-1. Move to Step 3.

3. Record against the next highest placed common opponent in the standings (based on record in all games played within the conference), proceeding through the standings.

Utah wins the tiebreaker on Step 4 and plays in the Pac-12 championship game vs. USC.

Every team has them...fans/followers that make a lot of noise and talk smack before the game but are nowhere to be found after the game and their team loses. I liken them to those little yappy dogs that bark and jump up and down, trying their best to annoy you but if you ignore them, they generally go away.Kind of quiet in here…..

UW wins, Cougars win (the "other" Cougars who actually spell correctly
), OSU beats the Ducks and USC beats ND. Hard to beat that.I'm not sure what is more surprising and what team based out of Seattle exceeded pre-season expectations more? I'm guessing both UW and WSU are happy with their current head coach and their respective future programs.
