A couple modifications to the original, itself a variation on the Sofa Pillow.
hook - Mustad 9671 #4
thread - Danville Flymaster Plus black
tail - bucktail
rib - small wire copper
body - yarn burnt orange
body hackle - brown (undersized by 3)
wing - bucktail
thorax - Ice Dub black
hackle - grizzly dyed brown

Where are your carp flies?
Those should also work for larger trout along brushlines.As of late, mouse patterns have worked well for me to fool LMB. The ones I have are a bit chewed up so I decided to tie/build a few more new ones:
