Lame single photo report....

Decided to head out on one of my days off after some streamer waters. I found a few (sorry, no pics, but everyone probably knows what both coastal cutthroat and holdover rainbows look like. Anyway, it was a blast fishing here:

Not the best numbers day in the world, but I didn't care....found enough players to keep me satiated...

Is that water sometimes tidal? If so that's a cool gradient you have there
No, it's in a lakebed that gets drained somewhat every Fall.

It just isn't what it once was. At least there....sadly. lots and lots of empty worm containers were picked up and disposed of.

That bank looks 'tricky' to get down....err....to get back up I should say. Getting down looks like it happens pretty easily - getting up though, that looks challenging. Cool looking stretch of moving water.

Yeah it gets hammered. But once you got things figured out you know where to find them. I’ve literally spent a couple hours with a fish every cast. Also they just got it down to that level. As they drop it more, more fish will push up.

Very true. Also needs a big push of rain to clean it out some.
