I crossed through this a couple of times this year and have found this great video of the project. Am sure many of you have been through it as well.

Bull trout and more. We need hundreds of these in a perfect world.
(apologies if posted before. if so, worth seeing again !)

So cool to watch this! Between 5 years in pullman while home was bellingham and marrying a walla walla girl, I've spent my share of hours waiting out construction at keechelus. Seeing how much of that work has been to improve connectivity and how effective the crossings are at reducing collisions is just rad.

This must have happened too late to make the film, and I dont think a moose was even on their radar. They talk about waiting to see a wolverine, goats, etc but never a moose.

Great video and story. I cross Snoqualmie Pass often to visit family and have seen tracks in the overpass soil. It was great to see the breadth of the project. Thanks!

Never would have expected a moose at Snoqualmie Pass. Pretty cool.

My son took several photos of two moose in the Methow Valley near Winthrop a few years ago. I never thought they would be there either.

This is a real antidote to the creeping despondence that results from the continual stream of doom and gloom to which we're exposed from all sides. I believe that the resulting sense of impotence has become another threat to progress. (It sure seems that way for me... I'm so overwhelmed by the issues we face that I find myself not even wanting to try.)

Thanks for posting this!

I wish more things like this were done around the world. Made me think of driving to the Owens River years ago from San Diego. Was very fortunate to see a desert tortoise crossing the highway and lucky for it all of the cars pulled over and a driver got out and moved it across the road. I know a lot fall victim to highway traffic though.

That’s really amazing!

Weird and interesting thought…. Predators will eventually learn that this is a funnel for prey. They might get some cool stuff on those thermal cameras
