Any recommendations for best rod for smaller streams and blue lines?

I think if someone forced me to buy a blue line glass rod, it would be a 7 foot-ish Scott F or Kabuto 3wt

Stunning setup. That makes me wish I had some trout fishing worth a salt nearby so I could talk myself into buying that. 6-8” trout don’t do it for me.

THANK YOU everyone! It's been like a doctoral research seminar, reading your responses. I have learned much from your ideas and recommendations! I am beginning the journey by visiting a local fly shop and trying their recommendation. If that does not feel right, I will explore your suggestions at fly shops along our route. My partner of 53 years allowed me to plan the trip. So, we will be stopping in Yakima, Salmon, ID; Dillon, MT; Missoula; Billings, MT; Spearfish Canyon, SD; New Hartford, CT; North Conway, NH; Cody, WY; and Healing Waters in MT. We made a similar trip, out to the West Coast from Michigan, on our honeymoon long ago. I am one lucky guy! This should now be a great resource for anyone with a similar interest.
