What variety?
Sweetheart on mazzard roots, sweetheart being a popular but older varietal out of Summerland Research station up in BC. Believe it came out in the late 80s. They also developed lapin, Skeena and staccato sweet cherry varieties, lots others but those being the most popular in WA.

Wind machines and luck. Lots of luck.
I did not get my fix on cherries this year...... our walnut tree (singular) was badly frost bit. I'm guessing we will be lucky if our harvest is 5% of what it was last year.

Seed saving, potato digging, pepper picking in progress now. Late tomato start this year and gonna need until into October. Bees for pollination noticeably absent this year, trees getting bigger, full sun becoming harder to come by . For a tomato guy it is difficult here but love where i live.

While my tomato plants are huge 5-8’ tall they are getting a crew cut today to force the fruit growth. Peppers are going crazy. The soil is great. My watering has been regular though occasionally excessive. I have picked some growing fruit to toss because of too much water that suffoctes the plants depriving of oxygen- these two of 20 i planted are in pots. 906CCE7C-8D54-4C4B-B841-05AA6A3527FA.jpegtrombocini and jenny lind melons doing great. Here is a pepper grove. Just too many 100+ ‘ treeshere in downtown but it benefits greens and herbs which are being picked and dried regularly.
