Pro sports needs to step up with punishments including permanent bans.

He should of gotten suspended at least one game for each person he misconduct with. Over 60 massage therapists had complaints against him.
Has he actually been charged and found guilty yet?

How do you keep a GM that gave him guaranteed money for what should be a suspension year? Stay classy Cleveland.

The Texans appeared to know as well. They seemed to enable his predatory behavior by providing the nondisclosure. Did they know he had 66 therapists? How is that not a red flag? They paid off 30 women real quick...

What should have happened was suspension without pay from the get go. Then when it's all settled, counseling and behavior therapy and maybe...reinstated in the league in a few years if he acknowledged he actually had a problem which he hasn't done.

Not a fucking trade and 250 million guaranteed.

Considering their argument early on was "we just want an adult in the quarterback room"...

All of this is such a Cleveland thing to do.

NFLPA will sue the NFL
Gets an injunction
Watson will play while it get sorted out
Suspension will run into next year by the time it gets resolved
Watson loses more money when he misses games next year.

;)

I thought his contract was fully guaranteed?

He makes way more money next year, so his game checks are way bigger...

The Browns traded for then signed a huge PR nightmare to huge money.
They deserve this…..

Ohh ok. For some reason I thought I’m even if he was suspended he still got paid.
they structured the contract around the expectation that he'd be suspended this season. signing bonus of ~$45mm, salary for this year just $1m - to skirt the impact of a suspension. if the suspension hits next year because of appeals/lawsuits, it will cost him real money - not just the $300K or so that the six games this year would cost.
