Back to that high Dessert Lake again and again

So i have been back up their again once with a good friend who is disabled and once by myself, The fishing was slow when i took my friend (unless you count the three times i put my rod down to do something and three times a fish hit and was gone by the time i reacted) and nothing really got going until late afternoon by which time he was struggling with his bad back and the wind bouncing waves of the boat were not helping but we landed a few and lost a few and had a good time.
We did have some company

I went back up by myself this week and again it started off slow with one fish in the morning, but it picked up in the afternoon and i finished strong.

I did have an interesting encounter while i was fishing, as you can see from the pictures i have posted of the lake it is not a small lake and one of the better places to fish are in the old river channels and the one i was fishing stretches almost 90% the length of the lake so plenty of places to fish but around 1pm here comes this boat and drops anchor lets out anchor line and his boat is now within a rods length of the front of my boat and the captain(i will refer to him as the captain but i can think of other names to call him) then starts speaking on the phone loud enough for i would say half the lake to hear him. I turn and just look at them and the captain turns and looks out the front of his boat while still talking on the phone totally ignoring me but one of the other fishermen on the boat did adjust the anchor so now they are 20ft off my bow. i did not take any pictures as he would probably think i was admiring his boat but i did move after 10 minutes to another part of the channel were i could not here his phone conversation yes he was still on the phone and proceeded to catch fish.
