I think your giving him too much credit. I’d say it was a Darwin moment. Any time you aggressively approach a mother grizzly with cubs, on your property or not, with a shotgun or not, it’s a Darwin moment.

This is a great example of someone pushing the envelope with a bear because they had a firearm. Sans gun, you do not run at a grizzly with cubs in that manner. Only justifiable if he was doing so to protect his dog. Still dumb but understandable.

If he let the dog out to try to scare the bear with him. He is most certainly a moron and the only thing we should feel sorry for in this video is the bear with pelt full of pellets.

So, the text says he fired at her side so as not to kill her. Unless it’s birdshot, and most likely buckshot, that bear will most likely die due to his ignorance. You only shoot at a bear while hunting one or only as a last resort for self defense

I know someone who used a cordless drill to bore a hole in the bottom of a dead car's fuel tank in order to "easily" drain the tank.

Hot drill bit meet and vaporize liquid gasoline > vaporized gas meet electric motor's brushes. You know the rest.
 
A family up the street had a pool heated by a wood stove, the son that was kinda dumb tried to start it up by using some gasoline. Face first...
 
People will blow themselves up to go viral on the internet for money so it’s hard to tell what is real. The internet isn’t the real world but the real world is more and more influenced by the internet. It’s very fucked up IMO.
