Some new shorts I'm stoked on

Chicks that care about what you are wearing are the wrong chicks. Let your guard down, and you will be spending too much of your life waiting for them to get ready to do anything.
Wear what you want, it shows you have the confidence to operate in the world without the winds of public opinion blowing you around.

Disagree.

I want to look good for my girl and thankfully she wants to look good for me. We don't take each other or our relationship for granted. It keeps us fresh and young. And it is not just what you are wearing but also includes working out and eating right. It's the whole package.

The average American looks like shit. That's not confidence. It shows they've pretty much given up.

More people should care. Bet we'd be healthier and probably even a little happier.

I still have board shorts older than my children...
This is the first place where I have heard the name "Board shorts". And me being living in a dark place, I had to look it up. Now that I read what they are. I'm so god damn smart now it's sickening.

Are the Jones pretty happy?

I agree.

I think most default to pajamas at grocery stores because they are lazy, have low self esteem and are abundantly overweight.

America has become a cess pool of bad/unhealthy habits.

Brah, in Hawaii it’s board shorts, rash guards and flip flops 24/7

I never see pajamas in grocery stores around here...
But then again, I really dont give a fuck what other people wear, so I may not be looking hard enough.

At least they are at the grocery store????. So many, including several of my co-workers live fast food 3 x day 7 days a week. Beside being unhealthy it is expensive.

Every weekend, usually on a Sunday we clean and cut 2-3 lbs of carrots, make sticks and salad size bites, 3 English cucumbers, clean lettuce and spin dry it, blanch green beans or asparagus for snacking and adding to dinner dishes later in the week….All this takes time, couple of hours easily, fridge gets full of Tupperware. It is usually good for 5 days and it makes healthy snacks and eases the meal making during the week. I dont enjoy doing it…. takes effort but I like the rewards. We go out from time to time but to restaurants/Pubs. The only fast food we really do is Dick’s maybe a half dozen times a year, and that is usually due to friends or family returning and visiting Seattle and they have to have their Dick’s.

Getting back to clothes. Has anyone tried Free Fly? Notice some shops including MRFC started carrying their stuff recently. It is nice stuff, lots of bamboo. Incredibly light/soft/breathable wear. I know because my wife bought me a hoodie, couple of shirts and a pair of lightweight pants. All good stuff.

We are debating right now whether to do door-dash or not... I absolutely refused for the longest time thinking people cannot be that lazy, they can't get off their asses and go out and get some food? Seriously? I thought it was a fad, nope it's not and it's Seriously depressing. People will double the price of their already expensive meal just to get it delivered. Weed/video games/ sloth. We're going to shit fast.

And just think, when OMJ and even some of us in our mid 60's were young, stores actually had paid delivermen on their staffs.

Our local farms had family run roadside stands, Charles Chips were made fresh daily by the same person who delivered them, usually right there in your town.

Those horrid leggings, need to go back into the recycler where they came from. Class, not Ass and Camel Toe, needs to come back as proper mode of dress.

I mean, if you have a vehicle that gets good gas mileage, or an EV, it's not bad. There are certain times where I'll just go out and do it because we have nothing else going on at the time (e.g. kiddo is hanging out with friends, wifey is prepping for an extra class she's teaching). If you pick and choose your times and locations, it's totally worth it. Not to mention better than sitting on the couch watch a rerun of "insert stupid rerun here".

To bring this back full circle, I wonder if a new pair of "top notch" shorts (as illustrated in the first post) would help with the tips....

naw, probably not...my legs are blindingly white (Portland winters) and not symmetrical any more (old achilles injury).

We own the establishment that door dash would pick up from. I've resisted, because it's really sad and depressing. But looking at other businesses in the area, 60% of their sales can come from door dash now. Apartments are popping up surrounded by fast food and starbuck$....

I had a titanium rod put in from knee to ankle on my left leg after a horrible break. The muscle around it formed so weird and, uh, lumpy, I guess. I personally think a good pair of shorts for food delivery would only help boost tips if you roll up on a bike and look like you're putting those legs to use.

I think you're right. For you. Now having said that I don't think anyone who preaches to anyone else about such personal choices is thinking right. These are personal choices, do what you want, and live and let live. People do not have to live up to your vision of what good is. They should instead seek happiness in their own way. Perhaps we would all be happier if the judgement stopped. If it's not interfering with my life, why should I cast my expectations on the choices of others?
You and your girl sound like you have things worked out and I'm happy for you. Don't think for a minute that you know what works for anyone else though. Best you can do is guess.
I'm glad you like these shorts. I have found some I like too.... Carharrts, with lots of pockets to carry shit in.
