Thinking about leaving my beloved 120 and jumping ship to the striker 4.

Which transducer are people running and what is your setup for a tube???

I have a mount set up for my striker 4 which both fits my float tube and Skadden pontoon boat from this company. It includes the battery and transducer.

I am brand new to fish finders but just received, setup and configured a Striker vivid 4cv and the Fishfinder Mounts 10ah battery/Garmin mount as pictured above to use on my SFC and Water Master. I also got the Quick Release base to use so I can safely stow the battery box and fish finder when using with the WM and need to use the oars. Wade at fishfindermounts.com was very helpful with advice about the mount for my use case.

Billy, I use this one and it also fits my Outcast PAC900 and float tube.20220515_202720.jpg
This pic shows on the pontoon boat. The Stryker mount with the transducer bracket on the same strap outside the frame just slightly below water level. The transducer mount allows multiple options and adjustments.

Actually fishing showing fish and a layer of daphnia or glass worms below fish.
I love this little unit. I believe and trust what it shows me.
Note: this is on the float tube mounted on opposite side than the pontoon boat placement.

Yep, I have the same one for my Commander.

And the transducer is also on a strap back behind here. A bit easier on a pontoon, Commander or WM, but same concept should work. Just remember to slide the transducer back up before going ashore!

I just finished the setting up my new Garmin Striker plus 4 yesterday on my Fish Cat Scout. I bought the same non-powered, tube mount package as Wanative. I liked the idea of the transducer arm easily rotating up out of the water for launching and landing.

Based on discussions with Ronbow, I bought a Tacklife T6 Jump Starter to use as a power source for the Striker. The Tacklife is in the blue water resistant pouch in the front pouch of the black Outcast Frameless Cargo Pocket.

I may have to move the Striker unit forward to a position similar to Skyriver's to ensure clearance for the right-hand oar. I'm try to keep the majority of my crap on the right side of the boat since I'm left handed. I'm hoping it will reduce the chance of a rodeo with tangled fly line but I'm under no illusion that it will eliminate the possibility completely!

Ken
Edit: added picture of transducer and pivoting arm.
